Stacy’s Chips with Hummus
Tip: Use cinnamon chips for a new taste.
Fun Fact: Hummus is made from chickpeas/garbanzo beans.
Carrot sticks with Ranch Dressing
Tip: Use baby carrots (easier to chew).
Fun Fact: Carrots are good for your eyes.
Vanilla Yogurt with Chocolate Chips and/or Granola
Tip: Mix the chocolate chips around to get them in every spoonful.
Fun Fact: Chocolate is made from cacao beans.
Apple Slices with Cinnamon Sugar
Tip: Instead of cinnamon sugar, you can use caramel, and at home (we are a nut free school) you can use peanut butter.
Fun Fact: Apple trees take four to five years to grow their first fruit.
Banana Slices with Crackers
Tip: Use graham crackers and make a sandwich with banana slices.
Fun Fact: Bananas, apples, and watermelons all float in water.
Make Your Own Trail Mix (without nuts)
Tip: You can use different types of cereal, pretzels, chips, granola, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and anything else you find in your pantry to make this. Shake it all up in a Ziploc bag.
Fun Fact: Trail mix has been eaten by Native Americans for thousands of years.
Toasted Pumpkin Seeds
Tip: You can also use sunflower seeds. Sprinkle with salt or cinnamon for another taste.
Fun Fact: Pumpkin seeds are a good source of protein.
