This year we have a new advent season activity: Advent Angels. All students picked a random name in their advisory from an envelope from their advisor. As that person’s secret angel, you then got to do nice things for them. Many girls made nice notes and hung them on their person’s locker during a free time. Everyone was excited to see their notes! Secret angels were not allowed to spend any money, but they brought candy, held doors, greeted people nicely, helped where help was needed. Acts of kindness are happening everywhere! These is not only nice for the recipient, but they also make the angel happy and everyone else in the middle school, too.
Overall, this was a great idea and I think the school should do Advent Angels again next year! Thank you Ms. Lorenzato for organizing our advent activities!
We also collected gifts for Al’s Angels children’s charity in Westport. We had a little competition and got 353 gifts in all. Here’s the tally:
Thank you to everyone who participated! You are most kind!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!
